They say nothing is healthier for the mind and body than physical labor - especially if you can hold the fruits of it in your hands and store it in your kitchen. Whatever cruelties you have witnessed or endured in the past week, your fields need tending to and they reward you with as quick as harvest as always.

If drowning your grief in work is not enough for you, there are new spots to explore in Puffin Town. Allow the novelty to distract you from your dwindling numbers!

Always remember, the value of a community is not measured by it's size.

[The animals... Mio should be off screens for a little while longer thanks to the head injury she received, but she's checking anyway, and this is just one of those things that makes her bolt upright a little too fast. Her typing looks a little worse.]

[Greetings everybody! Are we feeling normal on this Monday? Some people are faring better than others, and Noah.............

...You can find out for yourself. He can be found working the field on his farm early in the morning, striking at the untilled dirt with his hoe with more gusto than strictly necessary. There's one less person here to help out, after all, and that's as good an excuse as any.

A little later on, he's digging through various bags and satchels in the ??? Hut without much consideration for who these things might belong to. He's collected a small bundle of plants from the garden, and if you ask him why he's taken them, he'll kindly tell you.

Fancy a trip to the mines? You can find Noah bashing on slimes and rocky crabs with abandon, Lucky Seven in hand. Don't mind him, he's just staying up to date on his target practice.]

[... ah. Baldr sees that he isn't the only one curious about this strange new building that's popped up. When he realizes that he isn't alone, he very nearly turns to leave; he manages to curb that instinct after a moment, though it's a bit longer after that before he finally speaks.]

[ vayne lives in the mines, thank you (no he does not.), so he's there, actually mining, when noah's ... commotion comes echoing his way.

(he's not unarmed, of course. he has his own adventurer's guild branded sword. but unlike some people, he's here for the loot, not... the combat exp, it seems like.) ]

... Was there something you were trying to do, down here?

[ he has a suspicion of the answer, but he wants to hear it first. maybe it isn't just monster extermination for monster extermination's sake. ]

[It's a Monday, and Nikaidou's looking oddly chipper despite everything that was not good that happened before. Maybe he closed his eyes and wore ear plugs, or maybe he finally lost it. He can be found mostly in Flame Lily Farm tending to the new crops, all old ones harvested-- or well, removed entirely from the fields in order to replace them with Astera. There's the old batch from when he started two weeks ago, but now he's replacing majority with just that. There may also be a familiar calf there. Whose could that be?

The crops, he sets inside ??? Hut. Something like an offering, maybe?

Later, when he's done, he can be found at Gourmet’s Gallivant Food Vendors, munching on a sandwich as he sorts through boxes of produce. Red goes in one box, yellow goes in another, green stays on the table. No browns or blues, it seems.]

[ good mornyan stardew— i mean morning dews. definitely no stars here. we're all doing great after the weekend surely.

in the early morning vayne can be found around ghost orchid farm, tending to the fields as he has been these past weeks or puttering around with simple meals in the kitchen. breakfast is important, after all.

a bit later in the day, he'll be examining things at the ??? hut, frowning at some of the dried flowers there, noting the various things in the gardens and then some and more. every now and then the other entity that definitely doesn't live there makes him startle, but of course- there's no one and nothing there. duh.

even later on, he can be found in the blacksmith, hard at work with something...

... which, of course, means that later on in the day, a few more charms end up appearing next to the others already there at the museum: a cat paired with a B, a flask with D, a cooking ladle with B, and a miniature bar of chocolate matched with an A. he's trying to do this without getting too much attention, but you might be able to catch him placing them during the evening. ]

Flower Dance

Spring is the season of regeneration, of bloom, of life. If you’ve forgotten over the events of the last weeks, the landscape seems to have taken it upon itself to remind you. Appropriate attire has been wheeled out from the costume inventory in Puffin Auditorium, from vintage gowns, suits, and even more modern avant garde fits. This week, everything that flowers is showing itself in its prettiest colors and there is always a gust of fragrant petals whirling through the air. (Where they come from remains mysterious, as all blossoms remain pristine for your viewing pleasure.)

By now, it is unlikely to come as a surprise to see your ducky helpers handing out stacks of flyers. These are pastel in design and their edges have been cut round to add to that Gentle Feeling(™):

The annual Flower Dance is upon us! Ask that special someone to waltz behind the Wizard’s Tower and maybe your dream might just come true ♥

Food and drink will be provided! Appearing in fancy dress is encouraged!

Those who choose to check out what the fuss is all about will find the open space behind the Wizard’s Tower lavishly decorated. There is a buffet with all kinds of finger food and colorful drinks. Wooden tiles have been laid out to create a dancefloor without danger of stepping into a molehill. Music is playing from a flimsy-looking yet astoundingly loud gramophone - there’s a collection of EPs next to it, if you want to try your hand at changing up the tunes. Every part of the set-up is decorated with flower garlands.

If you spend too much time wall-flowering, a little duck might just bump into you and catapult you right into the arms of a potential dance partner. Or maybe you’d like to ask a feathery friend to dance instead? They’d be flattered!

[ This duck is pointedly not at the flower dance and instead during it, is at the gallery of the new auditorium, looking at the portraits of the puffins and other things on display, with its head tilted. Maybe it's judging all the puffins? Bird on bird discrimination?

[ Hello friends, were you sleeping in this day?

Were you making it your business to keep to yourself? Well, Nine and Enkidu go around knocking on the doors and have people go on over to the forest at ??? Hut at some point for whatever reason, saying it was 'a very important group activity where you would be rewarded' or something like that.

Something vaguely enticing?? Whatever.

Once people at gathered at the Hut, where there are a bunch of flower crowns and a terribly written piece of paper up saying "please take one if you want"...Enkidu claps their hands together. They also have some alcohol with them. If someone wants from the stash just ask but they are assuming no. They are also eating snacks. What kind? Idk, but they brought snacks for themselves and are talking between bites. ]

Hello everyone! A lot of things happened this week, and we got important information thanks to a little forest friend. I think the papers are left with either Vayne or Nine, so they got that handled. Also, if anyone else has anything, feel free to go ahead.

Thursday evening saloon party!!!! be there or be square

[ this is your pre-harvest party but it's also just an excuse for pre-harvest party games and a pool party with no water.

wwx has bullied/bribed the duck staff into setting up drinks from the bar counter and there is probably some non spicy food around but it's more snacks from joja mart and less actual proper food. the jukebox is going and, feel free to hijack and play your own tunes, and the pool table and darts etc have all been set up.

feel free to hang out pre-curfew - or stay the night if you dare!!!!! who knows what Friday will bring anyway??? ]
