They say nothing is healthier for the mind and body than physical labor - especially if you can hold the fruits of it in your hands and store it in your kitchen. Whatever cruelties you have witnessed or endured in the past week, your fields need tending to and they reward you with as quick as harvest as always.

If drowning your grief in work is not enough for you, there are new spots to explore in Puffin Town. Allow the novelty to distract you from your dwindling numbers!

[Does his life really have any meaning at all? He's still not sure about that, but if his existence brings others even the smallest bit of joy, then perhaps it's all right not to worry about it for now.]

This will be a last resort, then. Only if nothing else works.

[Is that the best she can ask for? It might have to be. When it comes to the ultimate choice - what meaning someone will make out of their life - Mio's starting to realize that forcing their answer to be one thing or the other only runs the risk of spoiling it with resentment.]

I won't let it get to that point.

[There's more meaning in that than she knows. He shouldn't trust, shouldn't get close to anyone, and yet this place has made him want both things more than even he had expected.]

I think we have to trust each other. The longer we can manage to work together, the more options we have.

[Therefore, she'll also try to trust that he won't be running off and committing any reckless sacrifices, as a person whose own sense of personal safety likewise becomes reckless when the stakes are high.]

The concept of a transfer gate makes sense to me. Assuming it would function the same way they do in my world... if it can be given the power to cross worlds and dimensions, I see no reason why it couldn't work to send us all back home.

[He's no mirrist, but he does understand the basics of how things like gates work. And crossing worlds? He knows for a fact that's also possible.]

A bunch of worlds interconnected like that... It's hard to wrap my mind around it. I'm glad you've got the know-how most of might be lacking.

If those ways to empower it without more senseless death are true, I'll do whatever I can to enable them.
