WEEK THREE
WEEK THREE
19 Villagers
They say nothing is healthier for the mind and body than physical labor - especially if you can hold the fruits of it in your hands and store it in your kitchen. Whatever cruelties you have witnessed or endured in the past week, your fields need tending to and they reward you with as quick as harvest as always.
If drowning your grief in work is not enough for you, there are new spots to explore in Puffin Town. Allow the novelty to distract you from your dwindling numbers!
Always remember, the value of a community is not measured by it's size.
(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST for this final week! Get your bloodthirst in or forever hold your peace! Gift submission is still open as well!
If your character has been planting Astera, here's a reminder to report it at the Astera tracker - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.))

Nine is going to look at his outfit. Pfft ]
You're all flowery looking, hey.

[ stop laughing at him, ]
You think the ducks are still following this Duck Boss's orders even now, or do you think Adela found the Duck Boss's diary and is just following that for all these festivals?
no subject
It definitely works for you. [ Is that a good thing? ]
Could be a little bit of both, yo. She would be the kind to enjoy something like this.
no subject
I guess. Though, I really don't get her still. Not what she wants, anyway.
no subject
Sounds like Mio might know a thing or two about what she wants. [ If the execution was anything to go off of. ] Might be something to ask when we get the chance.
no subject
Well, I mean ... We know what she wants, I think. It's... there in the community center. She's made it clear every time she talks to us.
She wants to be happy here, and she wants people to be happy living here with her.
[ she wants a community. she wants to be connected to people... ]
But the thing is ... what she wants and what she does ... it doesn't add up. Or I guess— maybe she just doesn't get it? She thinks people can be happy if they forget everything that would make them sad, but ... that's not living. That's just ... existing.
[ and if it's really the case that adela just doesn't understand, to him, that's just ... kind of sad. he'd feel bad for her, only... well. ]

I think I can get it, yo. It's kinda how it is in my world. Not the whole forgetting everything, but the memories with anyone who passes just vanish. [ Snapping his finger. ]
no subject
[ too much space in the room, empty chairs at empty tables? ]
no subject
It feels like there should be something there, yeah. [ His tone is much more quiet as he admits that, before he waves a hand. ] Been too busy running all over to really think about any of it though.
no subject
[ is that really living, though? what makes existing worth doing is— people, and the ups and downs they bring. but if you never have to worry about losing people, you can be safe, and alone, and never really feel sad. is that peaceful?
is that worth it...? ]
no subject
[ He may have had a conversation with her. ]
no subject
Then ... does she really just think that if she just cuts everything away, we won't want anything else?
