They say nothing is healthier for the mind and body than physical labor - especially if you can hold the fruits of it in your hands and store it in your kitchen. Whatever cruelties you have witnessed or endured in the past week, your fields need tending to and they reward you with as quick as harvest as always.

If drowning your grief in work is not enough for you, there are new spots to explore in Puffin Town. Allow the novelty to distract you from your dwindling numbers!

Always remember, the value of a community is not measured by it's size.

[This duck is all dressed up for the dance in a dapper little tux and bowtie. But, instead of joining anyone on the dancefloor, it stands off to the side. Watching. Staring.]

[ Hello little ducker ]

Hey, uh. Which one are you? [ They need nametags! ]

Quack.

[It gestures at itself. Understand?]

That's what you all say... [ He doesn't understand.

Hey wait. ]

You aren't acting like the other ones, yo. [ Not judgement and not the one without a thought. Doesn't seem like the shoved into responsibility duck either ] Are you new?

[It stares up at Nine. Reaaaaaaaaally stares, for one long moment of anticipation...]

...Quack.

[ Staring back.

Jiiiiiiiii ]

What? Don't look at me like that, yo.

[Headtilt.]

Quack?

[ Headtilts back ]

Quack quack?

[The duck stops and stares.

Slowly shaking its head, it takes a step back.

You did not just say that, Nine...]

[ ?????????? ]

Huh? What the hell did I just say? Uh. I didn't mean it, yo!

[Folds its little duck arms.

It's decidedly unimpressed.]

[ WOW ]

Hey... uh... want a snack? Corn or whatever it is ducks eat?

[Hmmmm. Hm hm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It holds a wing up to its beak in consideration.

Then, slowly nods.]

[Here comes another duck! This one has a green ensemble on.]

[It gestures excitedly to the party, then at wallflower duck, before giving a twirl and a little "eh? eh?" noise with an offered wing.]

[Want to dance?]

[Wallflower duck watches green duck's display and presses a wing to its beak in thought.

Hmmm.......Hmmmmmm......

After much consideration, it takes the offered wing in its own, looking off to the side shyly.

You'll have to lead the way, green duck.]

[Green duck lets out a little happy qua! and pulls the other eagerly along.]

[Not to worry, wallflower duck. Green duck is more than happy to lead. Its not the most graceful of things, given that they're ducks. but its pulling the other along before it settles into a little nice twirling step-by-step simple dance.]

[Wallflower duck quacks as its pulled along, surrendering itself to the whims of green duck. It follows along slowly and awkwardly (for a duck), not quite to time. It gives green duck an uncertain look. Is it doing it right?]

[The green duck doesn't seem to pay attention to the other duck being off - in fact, it only seems to make it happier.]

[It gives an enthusiastic nod! You're doing great, duck!]

[Oh...

In that case, wallflower duck will ease into it a bit more, picking up the pace.

It lets out a quiet - but happy - little quack. This...is fun?]

[It IS fun, friend duck!]

[The green duck lets out a little snicker, which is the only warning before it puts the other into a little dip. Wee!]

Quaaaaaaaaaack!

[There's a flap of wings and a flurry of feathers as the duck goes down.

It gives green duck a thoroughly unimpressed look. That wasn't a warning at all!]

[😁]

[It pulls up the other duck into its arms (wings?) with a little series of quacking laughter.]

[This duck is NOT having it! Its beak is frozen in a frown, even as its pulled into the other's arms.

But it clearly can't stay mad for long. It lets out a quacky sigh and shakes its head, then gives green duck a little pat on the head.]

[😊😊😊😊]

[This duck looks as pleased as punch, giving a little tail waggle at the head pat.]

[Time to get back to dancing! Mooooore practice!]

[The dancing never ends, huh...

Well, this duck is quite glad to continue, even at the risk of being dropped. It does seem to be getting better at it...]
