23 Villagers

Three people have fallen and a tower has risen. Along with it, some of the restraints on your mind have dispersed and a memory has returned to you - is it precious, is it painful? Is it cherished, is it loathed?

Mercilessly, dawn breaks on another morning. The rooster still calls, and the crops still need tending to. Rise and shine, Puffin Town! It seems like the residents are not the only thing that has chosen to rise, as a few more establishments have opened up for exploration. The sound of moo-ing near the farms may feel especially inviting here - how about making some new additions to your farms, to drown out your loneliness?

There is no festival just yet but if you question the ducks on it, some excited quacking will herald fun things to come later in the week. Some of the ducks will also wave the gift notes from last week; regardless of murder, being kind to your neighbors is still encouraged! Can't let our beautiful town sink into gloom and doom, right?

(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST, for the current week's murder, but feel free to submit for later weeks if you like!

We have also added a page to report your Astera planting - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.

Further, the Gift Mechanic has been updated. All turned in threads will now yield a character specific item as a reward! We're only dipping into the random gacha once all personalized rewards have been given out.))

. Starry Nights Festival

The stars are always beautiful out in the countryside, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take the time to appreciate them! And as luck would have it, this week the stars are in a fortuitous alignment, whatever that means.

The ducks have set up picnic blankets take two on the beach, with assorted offerings from the food carts but with the very important addition of s’mores and dotted here and there with bonfires for that freshly roasted smell. There’s also empty booths scattered here and there and a wealth of stock and decorating supplies – as though the festival isn’t quite complete yet…

A series of flyers tell you the following:

During the Starry Nights, Puffin Town comes together to make a one of a kind nighttime street festival that only lasts while the stars align! Open your own booth, no matter what it is, and in return your wishes may come true! ☆☆☆

Among the booths already set up, there's one particular tent up offering tarot card readings in the spirit of mysticism and the night. Helpfully, there's a 101 guide on Tarot Cards for those who aren't familiar. Maybe it’ll help you decide what booth to open? Or even give advice for the course of your life in Puffin Town! The ducks will try their best to get you to draw a tarot, but they also welcome help from those who are divination-ly inspired!

[He's stopped trying too hard with smiling because it hurts his jaws now, and really, he isn't going to pretend the weekend had been a good experience.

[Cows are still on Mio's mind - specifically, the mother and baby she became so attached to yesterday. The booth she sets up requires minimal staffing, leaving her free to get up and wander around the festival at will.

The booth holds a large mason jar from the general store with a slit cut in its lid like a bespoke piggy bank. A few folded pieces of paper are already stuffed into the jar. You'll also find more sheets of stationery and a few pens on the table, as well as an explanatory poster with just...very cute but extremely simple cow art of a bigger cow with her calf.

This is Stargazer. I think her name really suits her already.

Her baby still needs a name, but I just don't know what we should call him. Do you have any ideas? Write your suggestion on a slip of paper and leave it in the jar. You can hand in as many suggestions as you like.

Anyone who submits a name to the raffle jar will receive a sticker from Mio's rapidly growing Joja Mart stationery collection.

[ This duck in a oversized pink cardigan with sunflowers is sitting in a booth with one thing.

On a nicely fluffed pillow, sits a sharp, pointy knife. It even comes with a sheath, so there isn't any accidents handling it.

Despite this, the duck is just sitting there, looking serene. ]

ACCESSORY/JEWELRY COMMISSION

[ earlier in the day vayne can be found busy at the blacksmith! for what reason? well, you see, later in the day for the festival, vayne's simple booth setup has a small assortment of trinkets available- simple copper necklaces and pendants, collars, star shaped charms and bangles, that sort of thing, free for the taking. it's kind of on the honor system for someone to not just snag everything, because vayne isn't going to be manning the booth at all times...

the craftsmanship is solid if a little more on the plainer side of things than anything too elaborate, but there's also a cute jojamart notebook and pen set out on the table with a written note left:

if you catch vayne while he's attending to the booth, though, he also has a couple bars of solid gold sitting next to him, if someone wants to personally request something a little sparklier. the bars of gold are not going to be left unattended. ]

[ One of the more brightly adorned booths has a lot of pink and blue decorations covering the spread. Zelos is standing in front, handing out flyers, to everyone who passes by (unwilling or not), and Azure chills behind the booth, waving people over as she snacks. Above their heads is a pretty unmistakeable sign, adorned in a frankly obscene amount of glitter: ]

[ It seems like given the booth is a little more catered for the first thing, but Azure wanted to have something for people who have bad taste weren't interested in the kissing.

The flyers Zelos seems to be handing out give the general Hot or Not instructions to go with the big board behind him, listed with everyone's names tacked to it and enough extra paper and writing utensils for people to rate, make notes, and do whatever they want with the board. ]

[ it's completely unintentional but somehow wei wuxian has taken over one of the empty booths with a veritable amount of art supplies, although most of it is ink/paint and brushes and a whole stack of nice drawing paper.

if walking past him, it'll be kind of evident that he's... actually kind of good? there's a whole bunch of half completed sketches and portraits and he looks like he's half trying to draw people from memory and half making things up as he goes along but if anyone approaches him and his stall, even if unintentionally: ]

[ One of the ducks in blue has set up a darts booth! One very colorful dartboard is nailed onto a sturdy signpost, and the duck has kindly left a cup of darts sitting on a table a good distance away.

It looks around, waiting for someone to try with stars in its eyes. Eyes that may or may not realize that safety standards exist.
