WEEK TWO

WEEK TWO
23 Villagers

Three people have fallen and a tower has risen. Along with it, some of the restraints on your mind have dispersed and a memory has returned to you - is it precious, is it painful? Is it cherished, is it loathed?

Mercilessly, dawn breaks on another morning. The rooster still calls, and the crops still need tending to. Rise and shine, Puffin Town! It seems like the residents are not the only thing that has chosen to rise, as a few more establishments have opened up for exploration. The sound of moo-ing near the farms may feel especially inviting here - how about making some new additions to your farms, to drown out your loneliness?

There is no festival just yet but if you question the ducks on it, some excited quacking will herald fun things to come later in the week. Some of the ducks will also wave the gift notes from last week; regardless of murder, being kind to your neighbors is still encouraged! Can't let our beautiful town sink into gloom and doom, right?

(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST, for the current week's murder, but feel free to submit for later weeks if you like!

We have also added a page to report your Astera planting - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.

Further, the Gift Mechanic has been updated. All turned in threads will now yield a character specific item as a reward! We're only dipping into the random gacha once all personalized rewards have been given out.))

[How is Azure supposed to put in minimal effort if people are going to earnestly try... Alas.]

On three. One, two... Three.

[Considering the dice roll was a big fat 1 I don't think Azure is going to even get close to winning this. It was nice knowing Colette.]

[I got a 2.

Turns out Colette did decide to go easy on Azure. After all, Colette did find out she has a lot more strength than she thought -- not abnormally so because powers nerfed, but she really has more strength than a girl like her should have. But how to go easy on this...?

Well, her decision was mostly to attempt not to press right away, and she did this in a manner where it was obvious she's trying not to win too easy. Her arm angles outwards, in the direction of Colette losing, until she judged she had allowed Azure to do well enough. Not to try to tilt back, liiiittle by liiiittle, so it's not too noticeable she has strength for some reason.

.........

...her arm is...not in a good position. Oh, her joint, is kind of locked right now. Colette's strength and Azure's 1 means her arm isn't defeated, but her positioning means she can't push back. They're, effectively in a stalemate]

Oh...

...You've done this before?

[Said with bemused disbelief, because it really is a silly position they've found themselves in. A stalemate... Azure tests pushing back against Colette's arm to test how much she'll budge, if at all.

Well, she doesn't want to give up without trying if Colette was doing her all. She puts a bit more strength (8!) into it, watching the girl for a reaction.]

No, I haven't! I just--sorry, I think something went wrong.

[Azure pushes and manages to put their arms upright again. Oh, that unlocked them!

And then I rolled a 16, wow.

Colette judges it's time. Giving an experimental push, she keeps going, until the back of Azure's hand reaches the surface, Colette winning! Oh, good!]

It's nothing to be sorry for, kiddo.

[Azure's not a sore loser, at least! She actually seems pretty pleased.]

Not bad for your first time - and this just means you'll do even better the next time. Probably won't lock up again.

[But congratulations! There is no prize.]

[Bragging rights is a prize as good as any other!]

It probably was lack of practice...I can fight but I rely on magic and throwing, not really in anything direct.

[So she's not too surprised the elbow joints lacked flexibility. Her wrists must be amazing, but everything else probably is nothing extraordinary]
