Three people have fallen and a tower has risen. Along with it, some of the restraints on your mind have dispersed and a memory has returned to you - is it precious, is it painful? Is it cherished, is it loathed?

Mercilessly, dawn breaks on another morning. The rooster still calls, and the crops still need tending to. Rise and shine, Puffin Town! It seems like the residents are not the only thing that has chosen to rise, as a few more establishments have opened up for exploration. The sound of moo-ing near the farms may feel especially inviting here - how about making some new additions to your farms, to drown out your loneliness?

There is no festival just yet but if you question the ducks on it, some excited quacking will herald fun things to come later in the week. Some of the ducks will also wave the gift notes from last week; regardless of murder, being kind to your neighbors is still encouraged! Can't let our beautiful town sink into gloom and doom, right?

(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST, for the current week's murder, but feel free to submit for later weeks if you like!

We have also added a page to report your Astera planting - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.

Further, the Gift Mechanic has been updated. All turned in threads will now yield a character specific item as a reward! We're only dipping into the random gacha once all personalized rewards have been given out.))

[Cows are still on Mio's mind - specifically, the mother and baby she became so attached to yesterday. The booth she sets up requires minimal staffing, leaving her free to get up and wander around the festival at will.

The booth holds a large mason jar from the general store with a slit cut in its lid like a bespoke piggy bank. A few folded pieces of paper are already stuffed into the jar. You'll also find more sheets of stationery and a few pens on the table, as well as an explanatory poster with just...very cute but extremely simple cow art of a bigger cow with her calf.

This is Stargazer. I think her name really suits her already.

Her baby still needs a name, but I just don't know what we should call him. Do you have any ideas? Write your suggestion on a slip of paper and leave it in the jar. You can hand in as many suggestions as you like.

Anyone who submits a name to the raffle jar will receive a sticker from Mio's rapidly growing Joja Mart stationery collection.

Feel free to just dump your suggestions here or assume that Mio was by the booth if you want a chat.]

[ Amy lingers by Mio’s booth, staring at the art of the cows together. She gives it some real consideration. Then she writes:

Thanks for your contribution! [She sounds a little bit like a Nopon...what a strange position to be in. Shaking off the chill that goes down her spine, Mio taps the sheets of assorted cute stickers.] Would you like a sticky picture thing?

Yeah! I picked up a whole mess of them because I thought they looked fun to use... but I'm realizing I'll never get through all of them. So I might as well share them, right?

[Mio may not really be one for excess, and yet it's been all too easy to accumulate so many sticker sheets with nowhere to put them all. There's so much finality in sticking one somewhere...but if she never acts, then they'll go to waste.] Great! Pick whatever one you'd like.

[While she lets Amy peruse, she follows that with:] You live on Jade Vine Farm, right?

[ Amy’s hands freeze sorting through stickers. Immediate and visible spiraling distress. How does Mio know that? Is Mio stalking her? Has someone finally identified the easiest target? IS AMY NEXT… DID THE COW NAMING SEAL HER FATE? ]

Y-yeah.

[ Rest in Bacon, Amy Lee… ]

[Such a timid response! Seeing that she's startled her, Mio lets out a little "ah!"]

Sorry, I didn't mean to concern you! My comrade is over there, too. [And a few days ago, she'd heard his housemates talking about how he hadn't made it home before the deaths.] I was actually wondering if it might be all right to visit sometimes.

[ Her pulse starts to return to normal. That. That makes much more sense. Of course she didn't mean it that way... nobody would plan that openly... well. Now she just feels a little bad. She pulls out a sticker sheet at random, what did she get? ]

Comrade? [ Is that code for something? ] Um -- you'll need to ask the others, but I don't mind...

[Amy's sticker sheet has extremely cute and bubbly-looking frogs, complete with blushes and exaggerated proportions.]

Do they? I've never had one before. [Even thinking of the cows as pets doesn't feel like the right thing in her mind.

Even if we're only meant to know each other for a short time, I think I should still know their names, so we can really say we've met.
