They say nothing is healthier for the mind and body than physical labor - especially if you can hold the fruits of it in your hands and store it in your kitchen. Whatever cruelties you have witnessed or endured in the past week, your fields need tending to and they reward you with as quick as harvest as always.

If drowning your grief in work is not enough for you, there are new spots to explore in Puffin Town. Allow the novelty to distract you from your dwindling numbers!

Always remember, the value of a community is not measured by it's size.

[ Enkidu looks happy despite the general state of things because dancing is fun. They show up in something like this, coming up at him from behind to lightly tap a hand against his back or try to. ]

Nine, Nine! Are you enjoying yourself?

[ For once, Enkidu is wearing something different as well.

This is good enough for them, apparently. ]

[There's another wallflower duck quietly watching the festival proceeds, this one in a simple white dress shirt, black vest and tie. Despite being dressed up, it doesn't seem intent to actually join in the festivities.

[Wallflower duck watches green duck's display and presses a wing to its beak in thought.

Hmmm.......Hmmmmmm......

After much consideration, it takes the offered wing in its own, looking off to the side shyly.

You'll have to lead the way, green duck.]

[ Turning to offer a smile only for him to basically do a double take.

Wow. That should be illegal. Giving a whistle. ]

[Green duck lets out a little happy qua! and pulls the other eagerly along.]

[Not to worry, wallflower duck. Green duck is more than happy to lead. Its not the most graceful of things, given that they're ducks. but its pulling the other along before it settles into a little nice twirling step-by-step simple dance.]

[ The light continues flickering for as long as you are staring, never waning. It's like it wants you to come check it out...?

Only that once you approach, it's getting a bit further away again.

Though, I must admit I don't know a lot about dancing in festivals.

[ YOLO. Nothing wrong with following a light into the dark at all. ]

[Wallflower duck quacks as its pulled along, surrendering itself to the whims of green duck. It follows along slowly and awkwardly (for a duck), not quite to time. It gives green duck an uncertain look. Is it doing it right?]

[It stares up at Nine. Reaaaaaaaaally stares, for one long moment of anticipation...]

...Quack.

[ The light keeps leading you until the Flower Dance has vanished behind the trees. Just long enough for it to feel eerie, but not enough to bore you just yet.

It leads you to a tree stump with a very conspicuously placed sheet of paper right on it. It seems to be a lined page from a journal, removed from a larger book. The handwriting is tidy and spaced out nicely. Easy to read, yay! ]

Our town has always been a quiet town, but one full of life nonetheless. And maybe, full of a little magic too. Sometime after my Pa settled here, he was visited by a spirit of sorts, and not the kind you see after being too far in your bottle. They're wiley little things and look like an apple with arms and legs, but I'm pretty sure if you ate one you'd be cursed to hell and back.

Anyway, they're basically the spirits of the land, and they love anyone who plants crops, trees, any kind of vegetation at all. They'll even trade their magic for a harvest, so it's a win-win for everyone. And they really love parties and festivals too, they always came out for those and used their magic to spruce things up a bit. Anyway, things were real good for a while, but eventually word got around to those outside Puffin Town about their existence, and it all went downhill after that. It didn't take long for people to start using their magic for no-good, best intentions or not.

It's then that we decided that we should stay a small village, even if we and the Junimo would have loved to have a thriving community. Nowadays, the only guy who's allowed to use their magic beyond crop uses is the Wizard; he's an oddball but has a good heart. Ah right, they're called Junimo, but I have no earthly idea why. We really should've had a better record keeping system...

[The duck looks at Nine like it has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. Clearly it's been here the entire time?]

[ He's going to squint at the sheet of paper over their shoulders before deciding he'll probably hear the contents later. ]

This place is weird as hell, yo. [ Anything else around? More light to keep following? ]

Slowly shaking its head, it takes a step back.
