TRIAL TWO
TRIAL
Once again, the investigations conclude -- though they're more ponderous this time, burdened by the number and knowledge of additional deaths, and the awareness that there's limited means of dealing with them -- and once again the ducks gather everyone at the back of the JojaMart along with Makima's wagon, Adela's quiet, the pile of evidence.
Everyone trundles into the loading bay, which isn't all that much livelier than before, penned in by stacks of shelves and crating; but at least it's functional, overly well-lit and there's tea to while away the time discussing murders and mayhem.
As the loading bay door slides closed, you're left with a wagonful of evidence, a double handful of murders and the knowledge that time is ticking down -- for everyone.
(( OOC: Welcome to trial: the sequel! You'll have 7 hours (until 8 PM EST/5 PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. As this is scapegoat style, a correct vote is not necessary. Please remember to vote unless otherwise discussed with the mods, as that is our AC for this game. ))
the blacksmith carnage :(
Yeah, anyway, someone cut through Bibi's chest with a pair of bloodied garden shears. Don't recommend picking those up in the evidence box if you get nauseous though, the blood's kind of dried up but there's still stuff... sticking to the blades... also her nail was broken, not really chipped, but I don't think it bled or there was anything under her nails.
Also, aside from all the blood, there were a couple of other things - the shelf with all the moulds and tools was disturbed, and it looked like most of the things have been kind of thrown around and landed pretty close to Bibi and away from their original spots. I took a picture, but I can't guarantee it's perfect [ since, you know, bandaged up hand and all ].
There was also a bloodstained rag - there's a pretty large handprint but it's smudged so we're going to have to check that later. Oh, and a broken pickaxe. Whoever chucked it at the wall kind of threw it hard enough at the wall to split it into two - the pieces are over there - and it left a nick in the wall too. It's about... this high? [ what is a measurement, he's just holding his hand up at stomach level ]
I couldn't find any other pickaxes, so...... I think that was the only one?

This is excessive.
[ It's fucked up. ]
Do you think...the killer was trying to send a message?
no subject
[Because, well - who would they be trying to send a message to?]

[ She slumps her shoulders. ]
Otherwise, why else go that far?

cw gore
The fact that I even have to ask...
cw gore
[ Scrubbing her face. ]
cw gore
The garden shears probably would crush it if it got past the ribcage. Ugh.
blanket cw for gore!
[ She is so tired. ]
This is too much.

[ But what metaphor would it be? ]
...It seems too deliberate for it not to mean something.
