Once again, the investigations conclude -- though they're more ponderous this time, burdened by the number and knowledge of additional deaths, and the awareness that there's limited means of dealing with them -- and once again the ducks gather everyone at the back of the JojaMart along with Makima's wagon, Adela's quiet, the pile of evidence.

Everyone trundles into the loading bay, which isn't all that much livelier than before, penned in by stacks of shelves and crating; but at least it's functional, overly well-lit and there's tea to while away the time discussing murders and mayhem.

As the loading bay door slides closed, you're left with a wagonful of evidence, a double handful of murders and the knowledge that time is ticking down -- for everyone.

Maybe, but I don't know who that entails. I've never spoken to Bibi.

She had a pretty big personality. [Said like someone who is diplomatically saying that another person is difficult, but fondly.] She was very particular...I think she would have liked things to go the way she wanted all the time.

I think Amy was really happy to have her here. [She almost smiles, just a sad little sliver of one.]

...Yeah, I could see that... Maybe she saw Amy's body, and died after trying to retaliate? Or...she could've died first, and Amy tried to run...

I think... all of the trampled crops are trying to tell us something about how things happened, but the answer is still foggy to me. It seems weird to me they're all headed one way.

The direction of the chaos suggests Amy died first. That'd make retaliating by piercing Bibby's heart feel more like an insult if that's what the killer was even thinking about.

So... according to what you're saying, it would have to go something like this, if one person is responsible. The killer took the shears from our farm and chased Bibi and Amy across the field. They ran from Corpse Flower to Jade Vine, where Amy fell, then continued to the blacksmith, where Bibi was attacked.

[And Beelzebub... if he was hit hard enough to cause memory loss, she can only imagine that happened before anything happened to Bibi.]

If they killed Amy first, wouldn't Bibi have had time to get a decent lead on them? Did they just find her where she was hiding after?

Or do you think Bibi ... saw it happen, and went back for them?

She might have seen it happen, yo. Might have even told Amy to hide while grabbing shears and couldn't have saved her in time. [ ... ] That would be pretty messed up.
