23 Villagers

Three people have fallen and a tower has risen. Along with it, some of the restraints on your mind have dispersed and a memory has returned to you - is it precious, is it painful? Is it cherished, is it loathed?

Mercilessly, dawn breaks on another morning. The rooster still calls, and the crops still need tending to. Rise and shine, Puffin Town! It seems like the residents are not the only thing that has chosen to rise, as a few more establishments have opened up for exploration. The sound of moo-ing near the farms may feel especially inviting here - how about making some new additions to your farms, to drown out your loneliness?

There is no festival just yet but if you question the ducks on it, some excited quacking will herald fun things to come later in the week. Some of the ducks will also wave the gift notes from last week; regardless of murder, being kind to your neighbors is still encouraged! Can't let our beautiful town sink into gloom and doom, right?

(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST, for the current week's murder, but feel free to submit for later weeks if you like!

We have also added a page to report your Astera planting - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.

Further, the Gift Mechanic has been updated. All turned in threads will now yield a character specific item as a reward! We're only dipping into the random gacha once all personalized rewards have been given out.))

[After a bit of searching, Dongrang finds something that should work: corn on the cob. He takes a plastic knife from the food cart's utensils section and separates the kernels from the cob into a little tray, then hands it to the duck.]

Here, try this. It's not as exciting as ice cream, but I haven't come across a duck that didn't love corn.

[There's nothing left of this corn onslaught. Just a lowly cob. The duck is happy! It would give a thumbs up, if it didn't have wings.]

[It seems to think for a moment, before gesturing for Dongrang to come in closer.]

[He crouches down to lend his ear to the duck.]

[The duck reaches forward....]

[And nabs Dongrang's glasses off his face! It plops them on their face, blinking, before it clears its throat.]

[And then quacks, with a lower tone.]

Quack. Quackquackquack.

[It makes serious little gestures like a little scientist. Yes, its mimicking you, Dongrang.]

[Help him he's blind now.]

Ah-

[He lets out an embarrassed but amused laugh.]

You're quite the prankster, aren't you? Can I have those back, please?

[duckinghell]

[It sounds like its letting out a little quacky chuckle.]

H-Hey!

[He reaches to snag the duck by its little sweater collar...and probably misses due to the blind debuff.]

[OKAY but its had its fun for the moment, circling back to offer the glasses back.]

[If Dongrang bends down enough, it might even try to pat his head, like there there!]

[Oh he's absolutely getting headpatted now. After getting his glasses back, he leans forward enough to put them back on...and receive the headpat.]

Haha... What a cheeky little thing you are. Please don't do that again though, okay? It's poor manners to tease someone who just helped you.

[In all honesty, he has no idea why he's given this duck so much of his time in the first place. When was the last time he did something like that? What is this place doing to him?]
