Once again, the investigations conclude -- though they're more ponderous this time, burdened by the number and knowledge of additional deaths, and the awareness that there's limited means of dealing with them -- and once again the ducks gather everyone at the back of the JojaMart along with Makima's wagon, Adela's quiet, the pile of evidence.

Everyone trundles into the loading bay, which isn't all that much livelier than before, penned in by stacks of shelves and crating; but at least it's functional, overly well-lit and there's tea to while away the time discussing murders and mayhem.

As the loading bay door slides closed, you're left with a wagonful of evidence, a double handful of murders and the knowledge that time is ticking down -- for everyone.

[ She's convinced of that fact, anyway. ]

[ Her expression starts to fall. ]

[They both know how this place works. They've been here long enough to accept the consequences that come with their actions. There's no need to remind Noah of that when he and Kuki understood each other well.]

Do you have any regrets?

It's complicated. I regret doing what I did to Dongrang -- I don't regret making sure the others would be okay.

[ Because if she allowed it to go any longer, who knows? He might've switched targets. There were three vulnerable people on the floor, after all. ]

[Sucking down a breath, Noah nods.]

Of course. Ending a life is never an easy decision— at least, it shouldn't be. When someone attacks you, you're left with no other choice.
