Once again, the investigations conclude -- though they're more ponderous this time, burdened by the number and knowledge of additional deaths, and the awareness that there's limited means of dealing with them -- and once again the ducks gather everyone at the back of the JojaMart along with Makima's wagon, Adela's quiet, the pile of evidence.

Everyone trundles into the loading bay, which isn't all that much livelier than before, penned in by stacks of shelves and crating; but at least it's functional, overly well-lit and there's tea to while away the time discussing murders and mayhem.

As the loading bay door slides closed, you're left with a wagonful of evidence, a double handful of murders and the knowledge that time is ticking down -- for everyone.

What if we try to test that somehow? If we get something heavy enough, maybe we can see how it goes?

Um... [ he is flipping through the conveniently printed flyers ] Enkidu, Wei Wuxian, and Azure, I think, are the closest to how much Dongrang weighs? No exact matches, but.

Azure's the only on that list who doesn't also match the handprint. If we're lifting anyone it should be her.

My guess would be that someone would have needed to toss Dongrang over their shoulder, if he were being dragged it'd leave a mark on the stairs.

...on second thought, height could be a factor as well. You're around half a foot shorter than he was...

It might, but I don't think it'd make much of a difference if our killer made themself taller. Those few inches wouldn't mean much if they our killer is tall.

I'd rather carry around the guy who wants to hold hands. Besides, he'll be useless with the test with his hand all fucked up.

Then again, the growth serum theory would muddle the results of a strength test...

Not to mention, anyone who was running around all night carrying people even with boosted strength would probably be unable to carry any more now.

Sounds like we should be looking for someone who would need boosted strength to begin with.

I think that's a lot of us, is the thing, considering how far they would have had to carry people.

Hey, there was a puddle of water and a hose at the animal place. Someone definitely cleaned something off there. [ Maybe they should be looking at clean or damp people ]

Dongrang's killer would need to wash the blood off. Someone might have missed a spot or been too thorough.

It's not the worst theory... Weren't there water spots on the knife, too? Someone was talking about checking for injuries earlier. Sounds like our next move if we want to be thorough.
