Once again, the investigations conclude -- though they're more ponderous this time, burdened by the number and knowledge of additional deaths, and the awareness that there's limited means of dealing with them -- and once again the ducks gather everyone at the back of the JojaMart along with Makima's wagon, Adela's quiet, the pile of evidence.

Everyone trundles into the loading bay, which isn't all that much livelier than before, penned in by stacks of shelves and crating; but at least it's functional, overly well-lit and there's tea to while away the time discussing murders and mayhem.

As the loading bay door slides closed, you're left with a wagonful of evidence, a double handful of murders and the knowledge that time is ticking down -- for everyone.

... Yeah. Seems almost impossible to lug a body that far without some equipment otherwise.

I agree. And it would add a bit of context to the amount of liquid we found there.

Green ingredients create growth effects. I didn't find anything green in the lab, though.

Walter-san said that the brown liquid could have had a chance of causing several different effects. What if the one that it ended up having was growth?

But you're chancing drinking something that could explode on you, eat through your stomach, or poison you just hoping you get the one useful effect...?

If one was immune to one or more of the effects, their chances at surviving until they encountered the one they wanted would be higher.

[Less likely than Baldr's idea, but who knows. 2B just knows she certainly would not be poisoned by the same kinds of things that might affect one of the humans here.]

Enkidu found a stained lab coat and gloves thrown away at the store. The coat was small, but the gloves were... kind of stretched out, apparently? Medium, maybe.

They could've tested it on a random object first... I think that makes sense, honestly.

They might've. The alternative is that either they were wearing things that were too small for them ... or they grew while they were wearing them?

Both are possible. Though, I think it'd make more sense for them to have been wearing them, which would leave them stretched.
