23 Villagers

Three people have fallen and a tower has risen. Along with it, some of the restraints on your mind have dispersed and a memory has returned to you - is it precious, is it painful? Is it cherished, is it loathed?

Mercilessly, dawn breaks on another morning. The rooster still calls, and the crops still need tending to. Rise and shine, Puffin Town! It seems like the residents are not the only thing that has chosen to rise, as a few more establishments have opened up for exploration. The sound of moo-ing near the farms may feel especially inviting here - how about making some new additions to your farms, to drown out your loneliness?

There is no festival just yet but if you question the ducks on it, some excited quacking will herald fun things to come later in the week. Some of the ducks will also wave the gift notes from last week; regardless of murder, being kind to your neighbors is still encouraged! Can't let our beautiful town sink into gloom and doom, right?

(( OOC: Murder proposals are due by Tuesday at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST, for the current week's murder, but feel free to submit for later weeks if you like!

We have also added a page to report your Astera planting - this does not need to have been threaded, we're just taking stock on an OOC level.

Further, the Gift Mechanic has been updated. All turned in threads will now yield a character specific item as a reward! We're only dipping into the random gacha once all personalized rewards have been given out.))

[ it's completely unintentional but somehow wei wuxian has taken over one of the empty booths with a veritable amount of art supplies, although most of it is ink/paint and brushes and a whole stack of nice drawing paper.

if walking past him, it'll be kind of evident that he's... actually kind of good? there's a whole bunch of half completed sketches and portraits and he looks like he's half trying to draw people from memory and half making things up as he goes along but if anyone approaches him and his stall, even if unintentionally: ]

Perhaps it just needs a little bit more water. Either way, I'm sure it will make wonderful tea regardless of how large it grows. It's been nourished by your kindness, after all.

A bit weird, but no more so than ducks taking care of dogs, I would say. At least the chances are higher that different types of birds might be able to understand each other.

[Granted, it's far from his usual brand of trolling, but it still suited him more than building sand castles. He shifts his footing a little as he considers the beach they're standing on.]

That should be doable as long as I can find some ruby in the mines. I made these ones in the shape of stars because it seemed like the theme for this festival, but, um ... did you have any other preference?

[ Her pulse starts to return to normal. That. That makes much more sense. Of course she didn't mean it that way... nobody would plan that openly... well. Now she just feels a little bad. She pulls out a sticker sheet at random, what did she get? ]

[ Amy comes to a stop in front of his booth when he calls out. She brings a hand up to her chin, striking a pose to think, already nodding a little. Maybe she can cover the awful puffin art up with something nicer...... ]

[Noah has spent a fair deal of time examining the animals on display and relating them to the beasts that wander Aionios. The cows are like Armu, kinda sorta, though they're much cuter.

Maybe Noah should find that soft look on Beelzebub's face surprising, but given the context, he's already reached his conclusion—]

Awfully cute, aren't they? You must enjoy the company of beasts much more than humans.

Noah leans down, palms braced on his knees, to meet the blue sweatered duck eye to eye.]

[A lab like this is almost entirely foreign to Noah— shocker, I know. Evidently, it's some sort of facility made for producing drugs of some sort. Approaching Walter, Noah notes the apron and gloves and stands a safe distance from the bubbling beakers.]

You fancy yourself an alchemist? Is drug synthesis a common skill on Earth?

[Given recent... events, Noah has taken up a renewed interest in making sure he's adequately armed for potential combat. He's appraising three separate swords set out on a table when Vayne walks in. Noah makes no particular effort to hide what he's doing, turning instead to casually wave to him.]

Are you looking for a blade as well, Vayne?

[ Probably!

It doesn't seem to mind the question though, shaking its head no with a glum quack. Then it glances back towards the scarecrow and sighs.

That sure probably means something. At least to ducks. ]

[ Amy's hairline breaks out in a sweat as she tries to remember even one single measly thing from her high school science classes. ]

Um... isn't... green a secondary color?

[ Was it a trick question. Help. ]

[Poor thing... Like sure, it's quite literally committed arson by setting that scarecrow on fire, but Noah can't help but feel a little bad for it. He gives it a pat on the head, staring back over his shoulder at the scarecrow's charred remains.]

Seems like that scarecrow's still bothering you. [But what? Noah doesn't speak duck.] ...Hmm. Does it resemble someone you dislike, perhaps?
