afterparty.... yay....

So, how many people actually saw that coming ICly?
The movie theater has been Chosen, with alcohol and juice brought from the saloon, as well as a few of the easier to move bar games. There's no movies playing just yet, but there's comfy chairs and plenty of options for people who don't fancy being all on their lonesome right now.

Still, the vibes of the town are entirely off, and Azure isn't particularly keen on mourning the lost or sitting around wondering about the "why"s of it all - or about the fact they only caught one killer when there might have been more - so it's time to handle things the Rediesel way. Which is to say that Azure has raided the Saloon and set up her own little shindig at the movie theater. (If anyone wants to say they helped with the setup, feel free!)
It's not the most formal affair, but there's booze, popcorn, and chocolate, so it's... Something. She'll send a text out to the network, but regardless of if anyone shows up it's here.]
Don't know how many of you guys want company right now, but I've set up something at the theater. Brought over some booze from the saloon, but if anyone gets too gloomy I'll kick you out.
[That is mostly an attempt at a joke. Mostly.
But Azure will be at the theater until they inevitably get forced to the execution, drinking and making sure other people are helping themselves to whatever might make things a bit less miserable in equal measure.]

She does her best to keep her composure as she walks in. She gives Azure a casual wave. ]
Hey, stranger.
no subject
Come here often?
no subject
[ Big shrug. She'll sit at the barstool, right where she sat last night, and grab herself a drink. It's alcoholic this time. ]
You handle your alcohol well. I'm surprised you were so adept when we were sparring.
no subject
[It's unclear if she's joking or serious.]
But I was raised on hard stuff. This tolerance didn't happen overnight, though I'm sure some genetics played a role, too.
[She sets her glass down, though, resting her arms on the table.]
You seem a lot more straight-laced, though.
no subject
[ But a lot of them aren't nearly as coherent as Azure is when they're wasted. ]
Straight-laced, huh? What makes you say that?
no subject
[Nodding to herself.]
It's not a bad thing, mind you. You just come across as someone used to responsibility, and it's not often people with responsibilities can really cut loose.
no subject
[ She has a sense of humor, okay! ]
I guess part of it's because of how I was raised, maybe. I couldn't tell you for sure.

and also azure is his fellow orchid and won't let wwx do anything Too Stupid, right????????
anyway. slides in opposite her to eye up whatever booze she's picked up which is all very western and absolutely not emperor's smile. ]
Gimme-- that one.
[ picks up a bottle of something that looks vaguely like whiskey and he's pouring a full glass of it.
his alcohol tolerance says he'll be fine even if he doesn't look like it now. ]

[Healy's here, less for the booze and camaraderie and more to make sure things stay civil. Azure sounds like she's got it handled, but still. He's backup if she needs it. He doesn't trust this group to be on their best behavior, not entirely.
He hands her a bottle, but it's just water. It's been a long day.]
no subject
[She shakes her head, taking the water from him. She's confident in her ability to hold her liquor, but she's not going to be entirely reckless.]
Trust me, this was more for myself.
[Obviously!! Nobody in this town is a good person. Clearly.]
no subject
[It's far from the whole gaggle of them, but it's enough.]
Why here and not the bar?
no subject
[Anyone under 20 is an infant. This is a fact.]
Also, I had a nice night with Sampo in the bar. It just didn't feel right.
[Not something she'd usually admit, but she has had a bit to drink.]
no subject
There you go. That's nice, thinking of the kids. And Sampo.
[He raises his water in a little cheers motion.]
Were you guys close? Close as anyone can get in a week, I mean.
no subject
[But not every way, because Azure isn't that much of a clown. She's not sure anybody could be.]
We hit it off well enough because of that, I guess.
no subject
[He's glad the two of them weren't closer, though. For her sake.]
I roomed with the guy but I hadn't talked to him much. He seemed... lively.
[Go figure that's not exactly the type of person Healy gravitates toward.]
no subject
He adds the teapots and several clean teacups from the store to the pile of food and booze before pouring himself a glass of... something, he's not sure what it is but it also doesn't really matter right now.
... until he takes a swig of it and promptly makes a face. Well. That, uh. Sure tastes like burning?]
no subject
Maybe you should have just stuck to the tea you brought.
[She smacks him on the back, because that'll help. Be more careful, next time.]
no subject
[Does the smack help? Not really, but at least the thought is appreciated.
He coughs a little, single eye watering.]
This is... far stronger than sake. And far less pleasant to drink.
